Upcoming Training Academy Events

We are excited to run our first series of free Training Academy events for the 2019-20 academic year.

These will be held virtually due to government guidance around COVID-19. As soon as we are able we will return to running these in person.

These sessions are free and are a blend of input on aspects of Microsoft Office365, Windows, devices and apps. More importantly we will explore the impact of Microsoft technologies on teaching and learning, potential routes for their deployment and management, as well as strategic leadership methods. The events are always part discussion and part Q&A to ensure delegates leave knowing what they came to find out. It is also an opportunity to build links with colleagues in the area. We also offer remote attendance to these sessions with live streaming of inputs and specific online discussions.

In order to secure your place at one of our events, please select a course date below.

Our upcoming Training Academy events are:

VIRTUAL: The Essentials for Getting to Know Office 365 and Teams (two half day sessions)

Participants will spend the mornings getting excited about the many tools Microsoft has to offer students and teachers. Teachers will reflect and create a customized toolkit of resources to increase engagement, efficiency and develop modern skills for a global classroom/society.

Throughout the two sessions participants will engage in a series of immersive learning activities that will build a strong understanding of how to use technology to improve instruction and meet the learning needs of their students.

Note: This is an introductory course intended to expose trainers to Microsoft offerings for education. This is not a deep-dive instruction into any one tool. Additional training and resources will be provided for educators who would like to learn more about the topics presented in today's training.

As part of this course we will also discuss operating as virtual school through looking at the remote learning plan for The Cornerstone Academy Trust.
